With an energy efficiency rating of up to 27.4 SEER / 13.8 HSPF / 16.3 EER, this unit operates at reduced costs compared to conventional, lower-efficiency systems. It also has enhanced capacity, with up to 100% rated heating capacity at 5°F (-15°C) and confirmed continuous operation as low as -13°F (-25°C) ambient temperature. Additionally, it can provide up to 100% rated cooling capacity at 104°F (40°C).
The unit also features a new CLEAN function that reduces condensation by drying the interior of the indoor unit. The hybrid cooling system efficiently dehumidifies even at low cooling loads and maintains the dehumidification effect after reaching the target temperature. With built-in WiFi and the Daikin Comfort Control App, the unit can be controlled remotely without the need for an additional adapter.
This product is pre-charged to serve piping lengths up to 49 ft (15m), a 50% increase in pre-charge coverage compared to previous models. The hot start feature ensures there is no cold draft when heating operation starts or when the unit changes from cooling to heating. Comfort mode adjusts the direction and airflow rate, so air from the unit does not blow directly on occupants during cooling. When heating, the flap turns vertically downwards to drive warm air to the bottom of the room. The heat exchanger also has anti-corrosion treatment.
This heat pump has a cooling operation range of 50° – 144.8°F (10° – 46°C) and a heating operation range of -13° – 64.4°F (-25° – 18°C), making it an excellent choice for extreme temperatures.
