Warranty Information
Warranty for Mitsubishi Electric Trane SMART MULTI Split-ductless Air-conditioner and Heat Pump Systems, purchased on or after February 1, 2022 from a licensed HVAC contractor and installed in the continental United States, Alaska, and Hawaii.
Applicable Indoor Models: All compatible M-Series, P-Series, and City Multi indoor models. See compatibility charts for
additional detail.
- Parts are warranted for five (5) years from the installation date. METUS will replace any defective part at no charge for the part.
- Compressors are warranted for seven (7) years from the installation date. METUS will replace any defective compressor at no charge for the compressor.
- If the System is installed in a residential single-family home and registered within 90 days from installation, parts and compressor will be warranted for ten (10) years. If installed by a DIAMOND CONTRACTOR, parts and compressor will be warranted for twelve (12) years.
- Parts and/or compressors used for replacement may be of like kind and quality and may be new or remanufactured.
- Labor or other costs for maintenance, repair, removing, replacing, installing, or complying with local building and electrical codes are not covered.
- This Limited Warranty applies only to Systems that are installed by licensed HVAC contractors and in accordance with METUS installation and operation instructions and good trade practices.
- Other exclusions and limitations apply, including the requirement for proof of purchase, installation, and start-up of the System.
- The Limited Warranty may be subject to dispute resolution through binding arbitration.
- To obtain warranty parts, contact the licensed HVAC Contractor who installed the SMART MULTI system or another licensed HVAC contractor or servicer or an authorized SMART MULTI Distributor.
